Role Overview
Interns will work closely with mentors to design, develop and maintain software, contribute features, debug issues and collaborate with engineering and other teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain code using Python, Golang or similar languages.
- Add new features and debug issues in Red Hat products.
- Identify and track software issues.
- Collaborate with Quality Engineering, Product Management, Design and Documentation teams.
- Participate in multiple engineering projects and technology learning activities.
- Work with technologies including GitHub, Java, JavaScript, Agile and other engineering tools.
Eligibility & Required Skills
- Currently pursuing the final year of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or an equivalent discipline.
- Working knowledge of written and spoken English.
- Basic software engineering knowledge.
- Basic knowledge and willingness to use Python, Golang or a similar programming language.
- Curiosity about how software and systems work internally.
- Willingness to learn and work proactively within a wider team.
- Ability to work without current or future visa sponsorship.
