Role Overview – Associate QA Engineer
As part of Harmonic Off Campus Drive 2026, the company is looking for driven and detail-oriented Associate QA Engineers for its Systems team in Bengaluru. In this role, you will work directly with device development and QA engineers across global teams to provide end-to-end product quality assurance for multidisciplinary embedded systems. You will execute test plans on real hardware-software setups, identify and debug failures, and play a meaningful role in ensuring that Harmonic’s broadband and video products deliver the exceptional quality that millions of consumers rely on every day. Key Responsibilities
- Embedded Systems Testing: Test multidisciplinary embedded systems (SW/HW) to validate the functional behavior of Harmonic’s broadband and video products across a wide range of device configurations and network conditions. Gain deep hands-on experience with complex hardware-software test setups.
- End-to-End Functional Testing: Take responsibility for features end-to-end functional testing across the full product stack, from hardware interfaces through software layers. Verify that product features meet specifications and deliver the quality expected by operators and end-users globally.
- Test Plan Execution in Agile: Execute existing test plans and test cases to verify functional behavior of products in an Agile development environment. Collaborate with development teams to plan and prioritize testing activities within sprint cycles and release milestones.
- Device Under Test (DUT) Interaction: Work closely with DUT (Device Under Test) development engineers and QA engineers from other global teams as part of the debug failures and verifying fixes processes. Serve as the quality voice for the product during development cycles.
- Failure Identification & Debugging: Identify failures during test execution, reproduce bugs in controlled environments, and work with development engineers to debug and resolve issues. Document failure patterns and root causes clearly for cross-team communication and knowledge sharing.
- QA Process Learning: Gain exposure to QA processes and debug tools used by Harmonic’s engineering team. Build proficiency in industry-standard tools for embedded system testing, network protocol analysis, and automated test frameworks used in broadband and video product verification.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Maintain daily contact with developers and QA engineers from other global teams as part of ongoing debug and verification workflows. Contribute to a collaborative team environment that values high motivation, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to product quality.
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: B.Tech / B.E in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from a recognized university. No backlogs permitted.
- Batch Year: 2024 or 2025 passouts only (Note: 2026 batch is not eligible for this specific role)
- Academic Performance: Minimum 70% score (aggregate) during the completion of the B.Tech / B.E program. This is a mandatory eligibility requirement.
- Technical Skills Required: Knowledge of Layer 3 networking protocols; Linux knowledge is an advantage; scripting tools and languages such as Perl, Python, or Bash are advantageous but not mandatory
