Role Overview
The Applications and Systems Engineer 1 role focuses on understanding customer requirements and providing suitable technical solutions for application-based projects. Responsibilities include pre-sales support, coordination with sales and project teams, CRM updates, project requirement reviews, and timely preparation of customer offers.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand internal and external customer requirements and recommend suitable application-based solutions.
- Prepare and submit quality offers on time in coordination with business development, sales, legal, PMO, and factory teams.
- Provide pre-sales and technical support to customers, business partners, and distributors.
- Participate in pre-order and post-order technical meetings with relevant teams.
- Keep Customer Relationship Management (CRM) data updated regularly.
- Review project requirements carefully and obtain necessary clarifications and approvals before submitting offers.
- Ensure timely offer submission and compliance with the Delegation of Authority (DOA) process.
Eligibility & Required Skills
- BE/B.Tech degree in Mechanical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and manage complex situations under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of isolation valves, actuators, instrument components, destructive and non-destructive testing, metallurgy, material science, or fluid mechanics is an added advantage.
