LSEG Hiring Freshers – Associate Content Analyst

Company Name LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)
Job Role Associate Content Analyst
Qualification Bachelor’s degree
Eligible Batch 2024 / 2025 / 2026
Salary Not disclosed

About LSEG

LSEG, the London Stock Exchange Group, is a major global financial markets infrastructure company. It provides trading platforms, data services, financial analytics, and post-trade operations to clients in more than 190 countries. After acquiring Refinitiv in 2021, LSEG significantly expanded its data and analytics business, and the Bangalore office plays an important role in that data operation. LSEG has thousands of employees in India across data, technology, and operations functions, with RMZ Infinity in Bangalore being one of their key India delivery centers.

Role Overview – Associate Content Analyst

This role sits within LSEG’s ESG data team. ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance, and it is an area of financial data that has grown significantly as institutional investors require structured ESG information for portfolio decisions. As an Associate Content Analyst, you will research company filings and other sources to extract environmental and social data points, enter them into LSEG’s database, and check that the data meets quality standards. The team works across global time zones, so shift flexibility is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Administration: Maintain and update LSEG’s ESG database with data sourced from company annual reports, sustainability filings, and other official disclosures. Accuracy and timeliness are the two things the team is measured on.
  • Data Quality Checks: Review the data you and your team enter to catch errors before they reach clients. ESG data quality matters because investors use it to make real decisions.
  • Client Query Resolution: Respond to data-related queries from LSEG’s clients, explaining data sources, methodology, or discrepancies in a way that is clear and professional.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to how the team sources, processes, or validates data. Fresh analysts often spot inefficiencies in processes that have been running the same way for a while.
  • ESG Project Participation: Contribute to special ESG data projects assigned by the team lead. These could involve expanding coverage to new companies, new data categories, or improving existing datasets.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Work with colleagues across LSEG’s international offices. The ESG data function is distributed globally, so coordination happens across time zones on a regular basis.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Maintain records of your data collection work and contribute to team-level reporting on coverage and quality metrics.

Eligibility

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree. A background in Finance, Economics, Environmental Studies, Business, or a data-related field would be relevant to this role’s ESG focus.
  • Batch Year: 2024, 2025, and 2026 graduates are eligible for this entry-level analyst position.
  • Academic Performance: Not specified.
  • Technical Skills: Reading comprehension and research ability are the primary technical requirements. LSEG describes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret corporate filings as essential. Familiarity with financial or sustainability reports is useful.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication is necessary, especially for client query resolution. The role requires you to explain data clearly to external clients.

Selection Process

  • Round 1 – Application and Resume Screening: The team reviews applications for educational background, language skills, and any prior exposure to data research or financial content work.
  • Round 2 – Assessment or Technical Interview: May include a data accuracy or reading comprehension test, followed by an interview on your ability to research and interpret corporate documents and your understanding of ESG concepts.
  • Round 3 – HR Discussion: Covers role expectations, shift flexibility, team dynamics, and your interest in the financial data industry.

Salary & Benefits

LSEG has not publicly disclosed the salary for this role. Compensation at LSEG India for entry-level analyst positions is generally in line with the financial data industry in Bangalore. The company also offers structured learning pathways, global exposure through cross-office collaboration, and access to LSEG’s own financial data and analytics tools as part of the work experience.
