Role Overview – Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) / PGET

As a Graduate Engineer Trainee or Post Graduate Engineer Trainee in Mahindra Campus Hiring 2026, you will be integrated into live R&D, manufacturing, and product engineering teams right from day one. The role is structured to give freshers deep exposure across multiple engineering domains, mentorship from senior engineers, and the opportunity to contribute to next-generation vehicle and agricultural equipment programs. The programme duration typically ranges from 12 to 24 months, after which trainees are absorbed into core engineering roles based on performance and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Engineering Support: Assist in designing, testing, and validating automotive and farm equipment components in line with Mahindra’s engineering standards and quality benchmarks.
  • Manufacturing Process Involvement: Participate in shop floor activities, process improvement initiatives, and assembly operations to understand end-to-end production workflows.
  • R&D Project Contribution: Collaborate with senior engineers on research and development projects focused on new vehicle platforms, electric mobility, and precision farming equipment.
  • Quality Assurance Tasks: Support quality control teams in conducting inspections, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementations to maintain zero-defect manufacturing targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside teams in procurement, supply chain, and design to ensure seamless project execution and on-time delivery of engineering milestones.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyse engineering data, prepare performance reports, and present findings to department leads as part of structured project reviews.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: B.E/B.Tech for GET positions; M.Tech for PGET positions. Eligible branches include Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science/IT, Mechatronics, Automobile Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Metallurgical, Design Engineering, and Production Engineering.
  • Batch Year: Students graduating in 2026 (final year students currently pursuing their degree are eligible to apply).
  • Academic Performance: Minimum 60% aggregate (or equivalent CGPA) across all semesters. Candidates with a minimum of 60% in Class X and Class XII are also preferred.
  • Backlog Status: No active backlogs at the time of application. Candidates with previously cleared backlogs may be considered based on overall academic profile.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills in English are expected, along with the ability to work in a team-driven environment.

Selection Process

  • Round 1 – Online Assessment (HirePro Platform): An AI-proctored Multiple Select Question (MSQ) test covering core engineering concepts, aptitude, and logical reasoning.
  • Round 2 – Technical Interview: AI-proctored one-on-one interview focused on domain knowledge and problem-solving.
  • Round 3 – HR Interview: Final HR round assessing communication skills and cultural fit.
